PS3 Exclusive Kind of Already Revealed

A few days ago, we told you that the Spike VGAs would premier a “PS3 exclusive that you won’t believe.” Well, over the weekend the game title was revealed. That title is The Last of Us. No information about the game has been released, but 2 trailers are on the game’s website. The first trailer features real world disasters and riot videos with some kind of narration. Watch the video below to see what you think.

The video is chilling, but says nothing about the game. The second trailer for the game shows an ant crawling around on a plant. IGN is speculating, thanks to a tip from one of their readers, that the game is about a brain eating fungus. They suspect this because the video of the ant is taken from an episode of BBC Planet Earth. The full clip is about a brain eating fungus called cordyceps that kills jungle ants. Watch it below.

Personally, I find it difficult to believe the game will be about a brain eating fungus. Unless of course the game takes the “brain eating fungus turns people into zombie like beings that bring about the end of civilization” route. Which, by this point is an overused cliche in entertainment. I hope it’s something new and innovative rather than just another zombie survival game. Hopefully we will get real details at the Spike VGAs on December 10.
